To become the number one wild natural honey partner in Africa
To deliver the finest wild natural honey products while empowering rural communities and promoting sustainable practices
We operate around biodiversity hotspots in Uganda especially forests and national parks where we empower indigenous community members surrounding these hot spots to protect these natural resources and sustainably create alternative means of livelihood.
There is increasing number of people who are jobless and yet have no land who have resorted to encroaching on the national parks and natural forests through poaching, charcoal burning and cutting of trees for livelihood.
We therefore empower communities to protect biodiversity through creating different alternatives like beekeeping and agroforestry, Eco-tourism, forest restoration, biodiversity research & monitoring, and preservation of local cultures.
We’re raising the standard for wild honey—one hive, one partnership, and one exceptional product at a time.
Our processes are driven by strict ecological audits, biological lab-grading, purity and organic grading, farmers out grower care, Reforestation and Agroforestry.
We provide comprehensive training programs to community members in beekeeping. Our training covers beekeeping best practices, leadership , Setting up, colonizing and managing apiaries, Preventing and managing pests, predators and diseases in apiaries , Harvesting and postharvest handling of bee products, hive management, basic entrepreneurship among others
We offer consultancy services to individuals, organizations, and agricultural enterprises interested in setting up or improving their beekeeping ventures. We provide tailored advice on bee colony management, disease prevention, and sustainable practices that lead to successful honey production.
We engage in collection, packaging, branding, marketing, promotion and distribution of high quality organic wild honey and other bee products for improved health as honey has health and medicinal properties which are opportunities to market honey as organic or fair trade product hence steering the circular economy
We support bee farmers with high-quality beekeeping equipment. From protective gear to hive boxes, hive tools and honey extractors among others to bee keepers of all levels.
We extend credit facilities to bee farmers to enable them ably engage in seasons, purchase modern beekeeping equipment, fight pests and diseases among other issues
We engage in value addition of other bee products propolis and venom to produce candles, body jelly, lip bum, crayons, shoe polish, soap etc
If vulnerable households in areas surrounding conservation hotspots are provided with sustainable beekeeping skills, productive and modern beekeeping equipment, financial literacy, and market linkages, then they will establish profitable bee keeping businesses, increase production and sales of bee products, diversify household income sources, and reduce reliance on poaching and charcoal burning, because beekeeping is a low-cost, environmentally friendly, and high value livelihood opportunity suitable for communities surrounding protected areas.
Uganda’s diverse ecosystems and rich flora contribute to the production of various types of honey, each with its unique characteristics and flavors. The Ugandan honey therefore is multi floral in color and taste depending on the landscape from which it originates as different regions produce unique types of honey that reflect their specific flora and ecosystem.
Savannah honey with amber color is predominantly produced in the expansive savannah regions of Northern Uganda which include Karamoja and Acholi regions, Eastern and South Western cattle corridor. The arid climate and unique vegetation contribute to its distinct taste and aroma.
This type of honey is majorly produced from mountainous areas like Mountain Rwenzori also known as the “Mountains of the Moon, these mountainous areas is a home to a unique type of honey which is harvested from high-altitude regions, where bees forage on alpine flowers and herbs. The dense and diverse vegetation of these areas provides a wide range of nectar sources, resulting in honey that is rich, dark and full-bodied with high mineral content. This honey is known for its complex flavors, which can include hints of wild berries, spices, and earthiness.
